Logic by art sets forth the truth

Grammar doth teach to utter words. To speak both apt and plain, Logic by art sets forth the truth, And doth tell us what is vain. Rhetoric at large paints well the cause, And makes that seem right gay, Which Logic spake but at a word, And taught as by the way. Music with tunes, delights the ear, And makes us think it heaven, Arithmetic by number can make Reckonings to be even. Geometry things thick and broad, Measures by Line and Square, Astronomy by stars doth tell, Of foul and else of fair. Rule of Reason - Thomas Wilson
